 I grew up
in central Florida around the Ocala National Forest.
Joined the
Marine Corps immediately after graduation at 17 years old.
Honorably
discharged in July 1997, after spending six years as a Reconnaissance
Marine.
Moved to
Cleveland Ohio in August 1997.
Joined the
Army as a reservist in February 1998.
Hired By
Cleveland Fire Department in October 2000.
Married wife,
Christine, in November 2000.
Birth to
first son, Christopher in June 2002.
Hondros college
for real estate in September 2002.
Birth to
second son, Ryan in October 2004.
Deployed
to Baghdad, Iraq in November 2004.
Returned
from Iraq in January 2006.
Did cartwheels
for the rest of 2006. Happy to be home with the family.

Present Day!
After
much traveling and living in mostly tropical areas I find
myself married and raising our two boys here in Cleveland,
Ohio. After almost a decade living in northeast Ohio I have
decided that I am at least half way to adjusting to the concept
of winter. The region has taught me that having more than
one season is actually a great benefit of living here and
I look forward to the abundance of activities each season
brings. Whether you are on the East or West side, downtown
or on the lake, it still amazes me how much there is to do.

 While
unfortunate to be called to duty for Iraq, I found myself
to be surrounded by incredible men who were doing an incredible
job in a horrifying mission. Our task for a year was to physically
search for roadside bombs known as IEDs (improvised explosive
devices). I take great pride in knowing that as a company
we were able to take more than 100 separate bombs with more
than 600 pieces of ordinance away from Iraq's insurgency.
For or against the US occupation of Iraq was of no consequence
to our mission. Roadside bombs are responsible for over 75%
of coalition force casualties and an unknown number of innocent
Iraqi citizens. I feel an unbelievable sense of pride knowing
that we were directly responsible for saving someone's life
out there. Be it a US Marine, Soldier, Sailor, or Airman-An
Iraqi child or mother, it was worth-while. I would never want
to leave my family again but I am blessed for having gone.

task and pray for a quick and safe return to their families.
