6 New Gas Saving Tips

$3.57 a gallon. That's the average across Northeast Ohio. Here are a few ways to help you save and cut that price per gallon.

  • Several companies will text you with the lowest area gas prices. Send them your zip code and you'll receive area updates. Try This One...
  • GPS systems offer area gas prices.

  • Get away from the freeway. Gas stations near exits are typically higher. A few short blocks away will save you. It's worth the drive.
  • Marathon Platinum Mastercard offers a 10% rebate.

  • Some regular credit cards offer cash back on gasoline purchases.

  • Keep cash handy - Some gas stations accept cash only due to credit card charges they endure and some smaller gas stations in Cleveland and surrounding areas will cut their price if you pay with cash. Ask!

To combat the high fuel costs...ask your employer if you can work from home! For a broad list of employers who hire a home based work force go to http://FrugalParentsOnline.com
